(She's less than a month off being 21,

Maybe more than "a little excited!"

Jon thinking he's a bit sexy!

Bon Jovi!

The reason we went to NYC was because Mazz is a HUGE (huge understatement!) Bon Jovi fan. She bought tickets to their concert at their home stadium, New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.

Today was the day she had been waiting for!

But first we had a complete opposite day to "disaster day". We had a private car and driver, Felix, take us to Harlem so we could see the Apollo Theater, and Buzz wanted to see a street basketball game, and, naturally, shop! Shop we did! Walking through Harlem we were called "Charlies Angels" a few times which was funny!

After a few hours in Harlem, Felix drove us around NYC, past "Toms" where Seinfeld was filmed, past the apartment where Friends was filmed, we drove along the Hudson River, past where the ships were docked for fleet week, past 4234724979 buildings owned by Donald Trump, and past where the Plane landed. Then Felix dropped us off at Battery Park where we could see the Statue of Liberty (we were so not lining up for 3 hours for the ferry though). There was a lot of Fleet Week stuff going on and we had some pics taken with FDNY!From Battery Park we walked past the Wall Street Bull to TGI Fridays for lunch, then Felix drove us back to the hotel so that we could get ready for the concert.

We walked across the road to Penn station and caught the train over to New Meadowlands in New Jersey. Bon Jovi time! Mazz was soooo excited, we had amazing seats! One Republic were the support act and they were awesome. While waiting for Bon Jovi to come on stage the crowd to the right of us went nuts, we thought maybe the band were walking through the crowd, but then Keither Sutherland walked past us! I got a pretty awesome photo of him! and he sat only about a row away from us!

I'm not by any means a Bon Jovi fan, though having Mazz as my sister, I know a fair few of their songs! I went because Mazz would have possibly slit her wrists if I didn't, but, by the end of the night, I had formed a new love for them, they really are one of the best live bands in the world, and I would highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance! (In fact we're going to see them again in December when they are here in Melbourne! - Mazz, thats another story, her and her bestie Kelly are going to every capital city in Australia to see them, as well as flying to New Zealand for one more concert!)
