a couple of days ago i was invited to join storylane
i get a few invites like that here and there, i suspect most bloggers do. i'm already over committed online so i usually ignore them.
but for some reason storylane caught my attention, here's what they have on their "about page"...
At Storylane we want to see a more intimate, human web emerge and we would love for you to join us in this pursuit. Everyone has amazing stories waiting to be told.
Through stories, you will get to know your friends a little bit better, and get inspired by people's experiences, decisions and opinions. Your own stories will connect you with your friends in a deeper, more profound way, and bring inspiration to many others.
so i joined up.
it looks like a really interesting place for "writers". you can submit articles on anything you want or can write according to the days theme(s)
all of my blog posts were copied over to there. it's an easier format to read and navigate than here, and it's really easy to connect with other people who like to share their stories.
and i've spent the morning reading really poorly written posts from my first days here, posts from when i was funny, posts about being happy and posts about dealing with depression.
i'm so glad i have this blog where i can look back over my life, my ups and downs, how fucking far i've come!
i used to have a feature called tuesday thoughts and i found this little quote amongst them;
"The thing about happiness is that it doesn't help you to grow; only unhappiness does that. So I'm grateful that my bed of roses was made up equally of blossoms and thorns."-Lana Turner.
i don't think i realised how true that was when i first posted it back on september 1st 2009.
apologies for a total ramble post to fill the radio silence....
